As a PS (postscript) to my post about One of My Favourite Places, here are three photos taken by one of my parents' former neighbours.

Meet the Roseate Spoonbill which I have never seen before in my parents' former community.

Below are some photos from audubon.org. What captions would you give these photos?

According to audubon.org, these beautiful birds "were very common in the southeast until the 1860s" when they were almost wiped out by hunters for their stunning feathers. They made a come back in Texas and Florida in the early 20th century. It seems that they are being spotted in South Carolina now too.
